Polish elections in the past day, luckily the ruling PiS party is out. Also, The Verge is writing about WiFi 7 when i just got a 6E router. We see the continual progression of technology versions. I wonder what happens when we hit into the tens and hundreds... same principle with the iPhones.
One of my favorite short stories of all time is The Last Question by Issac Asimov (you can read it at tomek.org/thelastquestion.pdf). I'll need to add it to a not-yet-conceived favorites display on this site.
On X, @binarybits was discussing how Bostrom-style superintelligence is improbable as LLMs run out of novel data, plateauing in performance. Interesting suggestion. However, I imagine that if we can spawn limitless human-level agents, we can probably delegate more novel data generation to the humans. In a sense, this would unshackle us to make more genuine discoveries.
